Introducing: Interconnected — A Story Series
How deeply entwined are the lives within the forest?
Hello dear reader,
We hope this finds you cozy and calm.
It’s been a few months, and we’ve been away, watching the seasons change in the forest. While that may sound dreamy — and it is — we’ve also been getting our hands dirty, taking the first steps toward building our Residences. It feels surreal to watch it come to life, and we’re treading carefully, so as not to disturb any strands of the web that connects all the creatures of the forest.
Which brings us to our new series.
INTRODUCING ‘INTERCONNECTED’ — a storytelling series from deep within the wild, ancient forests of the Western Ghats.
Look closely and you’ll see it: the forest is built on endless collaboration and connection
Yes, we’ve heard this plenty of times. But how deeply entwined are the lives within the forest?
Under this canopy, nothing exists in isolation. Every creature, every tree, every fungus and flowing stream is part of a vast, living web where even the tiniest movement creates ripples across the ecosystem.
In this series, we give voice to the beings of the forest, allowing them to tell the stories they carry.
From the Malabar giant squirrel dispersing seeds by carrying fruits across the canopy to the bamboo groves providing shelter and food for many mammals and insects, Interconnected reveals how every species, no matter how small or mighty, plays a vital role.
It also makes us wonder: how important is it to leave the land and its inhabitants undisturbed?
In Story 1, we explore the quiet collaboration of two distinct species: how the Nilgiri palm squirrel builds the perfect sanctuary for the rare Ochlandrae reed frog.
Coming soon. Stay tuned!
